God always restores

Have you ever heard of the town called Lo Debar? It's a place in the Bible and I don't think we would want to live there. It's meaning is, "land of nothing, no pasture, no word and no communication." ⁣

Everything and every attitude was Low; Lo Debar! And this was where king Saul's grandson was living, the only living heir. His name was Mephibosheth (2 Samuel 9). King David is now on the throne and he asks, "is there anyone left of the house of Saul to whom I can show kindness?" When Mephibosheth was brought before the King he made a remark that showed his attitude of what he believed about himself , he said, "why are you noticing a dead dog like me?" He had a very "Lo Debar" belief and he had royal blood! He didn't feel like an heir, he felt rejection and he was fearful. ⁣

In verse 7 King David says "don't be afraid, I will RESTORE to you all the land that belonged to your grandfather Saul, and you will ALWAYS eat at my table." He just went from land of nothing to the palace! God always restores! Do you realize you are an heir to the King? You are royalty! God is wanting to show kindness to us. It doesn't matter where you have lived, (your past) the King is inviting us to the palace. And here is the last and best: ⁣
verse 13, "And Mephibosheth lived in Jerusalem, because he always ate at the kings table, and he was crippled in both feet." ⁣

In our weaknesses, our crippled beliefs about ourselves, God is calling us to eat at His table because we are heirs through the blood of Christ. ⁣

I pray that we leave the place of Lo Debar and see that we belong eating at the Kings table... everyday! ⁣

I love you Dianna
