in the valley

In the Bible, David wrote a very famous passage, Psalm 23. It starts out , “the Lord is my Shepherd”. See...you know it. It's a powerful prayer and it's a feel good prayer except for this verse right in the middle: ⁣

Verse 4,"Even though I walk through the valley of death"

Nobody wants to take that walk. I have walked it, and for many years it seemed like my life was the valley of death. A death while living. Death can be hopelessness, fearfulness, depression, anger, self-pity, selfishness, the list can go on and on. ⁣

But the next part of the verse gives us redemption, "I will fear no evil, for you are with me" ⁣

Death Valley is a fearful place. But The Holy Spirit walked me through the valley. I didn't just walk, I danced on the tree tops in Death Valley! ⁣

Jesus comforted and guided me all through the valley, through His mercy and my consistent seeking God. I was tired of Death Valley living, and with Jesus I rose above my circumstances and danced on the tree tops. I was still in the valley but with a whole new perspective. I had the sight of Faith (Hebrews 11). I had to let go of fear and I had to recognize self-pity as a place of death. I climbed the trees, praying, crying, believing, trusting, repenting; it was a difficult climb but I got to the top. My circumstances had not changed but I had changed. And you can too! ⁣

My cup overflows (verse 5) with joy, peace, faith, and miracles! The miracles in my marriage were seen from the tree tops before they happened. I'm now living the miracle! ⁣

If you are in the valley, get a God perspective. Climb the trees and dance!!!⁣

I love y'all Dianna ⁣
