What steals your contentment

“Not that we dare to classify or compare ourselves with some of those who are commending themselves. But when they measure themselves by one another and compare themselves with one another, they are without understanding.”⁣

Comparison always steals contentment. Have you every compared yourself to someone else? We all have and it’s the insidious work of the enemy. Insecurity can be from childhood, disappointments, words spoken to you...and then the comparison comes. The feelings of not being enough are imbedded into our identity. When we compare ourselves to our wrong identity, we become miserable. A stronghold of lies becomes who you think you are. ⁣

God wants us to live in His identity. When we allow Him to define us, we begin to feel that we actually are enough! Self confidence becomes God confidence. ⁣
⁣
God has a great destiny for each of us and it’s not in comparison to someone else’s destiny. God uniquely designed you and your destiny and it cannot be Instagram compared. I pray that we get to know Jesus so personally that we get a love revelation of that “we are enough” through Christ. ⁣
